F36 gran coupe normal to lci

Hello everyone from Croatia,

(long time member but not active user )

I am purchasing bmw 4series gran coupe and have some questions.

my budget is allowing me to buy 420d 2015-2016. I know LCI is nicer but my biggest concern can I adapt preLci to Lci.

What I am interested to transform:
- rear LCI (led) lights - are they just plug and play or you need to adjust something more
- m steering wheel - can I put m s.wheel into non m with plug and play only

navigation - business vs. pro - also, is it p&p or more adjustments needed?

I hope you will help me.
Thank you

Yes you can do all these things with proper coding. But much more expensive to do after the fact instead of buying an LCI model to begin with (with other LCI Upgrades as well).

Also, you will lose Connected Drive Services doing the Upgrade.

You need to buy a wiring harness, 4 lights, inside truck cover for the lights and code in the new lights. So not just P&P.

For the cost to retrofit the LCI rear lights and the other things you mentioned. It is probably not worth doing the upgrade.

Like others have said, it wouldn't be worth the cost. The reality is LCI's are typically "fluff" type improvements to encourage buyers to upgrade from pre-LCI to LCI.
