I'm about to purchase a used mpe for my 428 anything I should be worried about? It does not have the actuator on it so it will have to be transferred from my original exhaust. Should I be worried about cutting the original exhaust and the new one rattling?? I am planning to take it to a local indie shop to get it put on. Also if I install the bms obd 2 adapter will that void my warranty? Looking for input!

Don't worry about cutting the old one. People choose to cut them and I've never heard of a rattle issue. Just don't buy a shitty clamp.

Are you considering installing yourself?

Its highly recommended as the process is so simple and fool proof that its almost foolish to pay someone else to do it for you. Unless of course you dont have the means.

I had old rhino ramps, drove the back end on them and presto! Lots of room to do the deed. Cut where the dimple is, slide on new mpe and clamp, done.

Yeah maybe I will do that! I agree it looks super easy. Only part I am worried about is transferring the valve actuator and installing the spring back so the valve works correctly

If you're that worried. Study how it's currently on the stock exhaust, take pictures, and replicate it onto the new one.

It's not super complicated. Pretty easy/straightforward.
