M3 style bumper on 328i?

I have no intentions of trying to pass my F30 328i off as a M3 but I really like the M3 bumper over the M-sport. What does everyone think about it? As I said, I wouldn't badge it as an M3 and would proudly stand by the fact that it is a 3 series. Thoughts?

Following, I'd like to know for a 428 to M4 bumper as well. The diffusers are so much more aggressive for M4

I put an m3 rep front bumper on my 328i xdrive and I think it sets the car apart from the standard 3 series. I'm not trying to make my car look like an m3, just trying to make it look a little more unique.

I think it's awesome! Gets trickier if you're looking for a lip too though since there are a couple of different ones out there, and you need to make sure the lip is designed for your bumper. Just to be clear in case you weren't aware, standard M3 lips won't work since a real M3 is wider than the 3 series.

Here's mine without the lip:

Here it is WITH the lip:

With lip and no fog lights:

Also, I did M Sport rear bumper with blackline taillights and custom quad exhaust:

Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone so far who's posted pics of your cars! They all look really nice and each is set apart from the other. That's exactly what I want to go for, a car that's different. Keep the pics coming!

The bumper and lip look great. I didn't think about making sure the lip is made for the exact bumper. When the time comes, I will make sure to look for one that will fit the 3 series m3 style bumper. Where did you get yours?

I got it from someone local. He gets it from somewhere he says makes lips from BMW themselves.

Very nice look, and I'll bet they make your cars at least 10mph faster. Just kidding about that, but do like the look.

Hmm if I'm understanding what you're saying, you'd want a 4 series m-sport bumper for an f30 3 series car. It looks like all of the bumpers I saw only say to fit the f32 (4 series) body style. I'm assuming there is some kind of difference in mountain points, size/width, etc. that makes it different than putting a 3 series m-sport bumper on. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the 3 series and 4 series m-sport bumpers are almost the same.

I'd imagine as long as you take it to get paint matched at a reputable paint shop, you shouldn't have differences from the rest of the body. Do some research of body shops in the area and if you can, avoid shops with collision repair or anything like that. They are waayyy more expensive from what I've been told and also from personal experience.

i know you cant fit a f32 msport directly onto a f30 but i know there are some vendors that make a retrofit bumper for the f30 just dont know which ones.

They are similar but the 4 series msport bumper looks more aggressive. lines are more diagnol

Oh okay I understand what you're saying now. As far as I know, i don't know any vendors or at least haven't seen them. I'm sure they are there. Maybe search around the forum for that. Or possibly google it and see if there's any that show up. Keep us updated on that because I'd be interested in that retrofit.

When I had my bumper done they also sanded down part of my hood and side panels before painting the bumper. It matches perfectly. Just an FYI.

Yeah I just think it's going to be hit or miss right now. Since we just got blasted by that hurricane recently all the shops in my town are swamped so I'm not sure I'd trust anyone do it Now that I think about it. I may just need to wait.

I notice you have PDC on your car. How does the bumper work with that since you don't have the cut outs for the sensors in the front?

I only have PDC in the back, not the front.
