Flashing Alpina D5 steering rack software?

I've just been reading the Evo article on the Alpina D5, one of the upgrades mentioned is the revised steering rack software that the D5 runs.

Unlike the Alpina gearbox software I can't see this being model specific. Has anyone tried flashing it?
