Do old model wheel locks work for 2019 X5?
Mine is 21'' , and the BMW part store sold me a set of old model wheel lock that he said works for the 2019 X5 as well. I put them on, but still not comfortable.

so the bolt pattern changed but BMW is still using m14 x 1.25 bolts.
I know my E90 has M12 bolts so I guess the real question is how old are your wheel locks or which model did you use previously. |

I spoke to my knowledgeable BWW parts manager who told me he looked up the part number and that my 2016 X5 bolts would fit my 2019 w 20's M sport brakes.
I picked up the car today and I put the McGards from my 2016 X5 on the 2019 and they fit perfectly. |

You will get a tire wrench and jack if you ordered the Spare Tire option. you will need a 17mm socket, extension and a torque wrench that can handle 105 ft-lb. |

I tried putting the locks from my F10 on the X5 but the original bolts have a spacer on them. The locking bolts do not. What are the specs for the proper locks?
Added: McGard website lists the size as M14 x 1.25 for both the 2016 5 series and the 2018 X5. No listing for the 2019 models. I was hesitant to use the ones from my 5 series and not sure what to do about the spacer that is on the OEM lug bolts.

My old F15 locks don't fit my G05 correctly. They'll tighten up, but there's a huge gap around them showing the bare aluminum.

These look right. They have the spacer like THE OEM bolts.

The wheel lock bolt kit I bought has the same P/N 36 13 2 453 961 as Hchcuor's set, manufactured in Sept 2018.
But does not have the spacer as Hchour's set !? |

The wheel lock bolt without spacer will fit tight in the cone shaped wheel well because you can thread it in further then the standard bolt.
However, I notice that after hand tight, I have to turn the standard bolt with spacer more to achieved the required torque. So fiction between the cone shaped wheel well and wheel lock bolt without spacer may affects the torque requirement ? I put the standard bolts with spacer back on for now. |
