Messed Up!!!

Hey everyone. I just took delivery of my car and it is beautiful!!! I will be sure to post pics soon. I only have one problem though...my bluetooth phone (Motorola E815) transfers its phonebook but when I go to voice dial a name it says "phonebook empty". Any ideas...? Thanks.

Press the voice activation button and say "help" you will get a list of options on what you can say next. You can say "save name" then the computer will say "please say the name" you say the name and do this twice for the computer to learn it. Then it says please say the number and you tell it the number. Then you say "save name" and its in the computer by voice. The next time you get in the car you press the voice activation button and say "dial name" then you tell it the name of the person you want to call and it will dial it for you by voice.

Garage List
Yeah, it doesn't carry over any voice dialing entries you have. They are specific to the car.

Congrats on your car!

This all depends on whether your car has the low or high version of the computer. The low version does not support voice recognition that queries your phonebook. As pointed out above, there is a separate function that stores specific names with numbers.

The high version of the computer (ccc) does provide for this feature and it works really well. This means that the driver does not have to anticipate which numbers he will need to voice dial as all are available.
