Watch lots of videos on youtube of 335 drivers going fast. Good way to kill the time. Seriously, check out the detailing section and decide how you want to care for the outside of your new rocket.

What I meant was pertaining to the mechanics of the vehicle & to see what to look for regarding any missing items in the trunk/cabin. Thanx!!!

Make sure you use the washroom before driving off and pee yourself in all the excitement.

Well first of all, if you've ordered many options, packages... ask the dealer to guide you through all of them... just to make sure they're all there

If you ordered the ipod integration option (6FL), make sure they give you the required cable. It plugs into your ipod on one end and into both the 3.5mm aux jack and the USB port on the other end.

Check the toolkit in the trunk to make sure none of the tools are missing.

My car was a dealer locate. Alpine/ Coral combo with Poplar trim & Prem, Sprt, Comf access, Nav & Park distance. Unfortunatly I was not able to find a factory Ipod/usb port is there another alternative for an upgraded version with better sound quality than Apple???

All kidding aside, as mentioned above, make sure you get everything promised. Anything not given to you that day, get a "We Owe" slip that's signed by the SM. My SA was all hugs and kisses and footsies right through delivery. Promised twice afterwards she was getting me a gift card, be patient. Never happened. My g/f at the time said do I really care about a $200 amex gift card from some sales wh*** I mean the dealership, well, yes. But I let it go.

Look over every inch of the paint to check for imperfections/scratches. I didn't do that and found a relatively big scratch afterwords that wasn't immediately obvious. But once you drive away, they will claim "it must have been a rock."

This also implies you take delivery in the daytime. It was bordering on night for me, which is probably why I missed it.

^+1 they can be real asses sometimes. Lexus lady almost sold my dad a 2002 ES300 back in the day with a HUGE scratch on the driver's panel. Had my dad not noticed it, she wouldn't have had said anything!

You may want to prepare your statement of how you can ask them why your new car feels like it has turbo lag when the one you test drove did not...

Isn't the break in period the same as the new M3? No higher than 4500 RPM till the first 1200 miles?

I already have a V1 (since 2002 with the latest updates) and as for the lease I decided to purchase (1.9% for up to 60 months) & I do plan on doing a Dinan tune in the near future. I hear its like $1900???

Yes.

Have a sleepless night on Tuesday night
Wednesday night: repeat
Thursday: Look at the car first. Sign. Ear to ear grin

Congrats! Make sure to post some pics.

PS make sure they throw in the mats. And instead of blaring the radio when you take off. LISTEN and feel out the car to make sure everything seems like its all good. Enjoy!

They actually include mats...which kind of mats should I be looking out for though? Is there a cheaper kind vs. the O.E. mats with the BMW logo or 335i logo?

Not sure about other kinds. But my dealer threw in the OEM all weathers and the regular OEM carpet mats. My carpet ones say BMW on the drivers side mat. And the all weathers are just all black.

I can't believe no one mentioned this before.

IMPORTANT!!!

Tell them that you do not want them to prep your vehicle ie.. washing the car and cleaning the inside. Tell them specifically! DO NOT WASH MY CAR! You got that? Even if they laugh at you, which they did in my case, don't let them wash your car. Other than that, it doesnt matter. They'll take you through all the features and functions which should take about an hour. good luck

Ask not to have a dealer sticker on the trunk. Check inside the trunk before you drive off; I got a free screwdriver last time.

How about not programming the DRL's to stay on all the time?
