Replacement MULF Hi but no USB
Just as it says, got around to swapping out my MULF unit which had USB audio, satellite and bluetooth for another and the only thing not working is the armrest USB. Guys over at the general forum said to come here as it's most likely that the replacement doesn't have USB coded in properly. So two questions:
Is this something that someone here can do remotely for $? Or should I just buy the equipment/dongle and do it myself? I assume it's only one or two settings that I need to change? Or if anyone has done this, I could have my mechanic do it, if pointed to the info that needs to be changed/added? Any help is greatly appreciated! |

People on the coding subforum do remote coding.
If you are near a large metro area you may find local coding services if you do a google search. Before you go to a local shop be sure its a BMW shop and describe your problem and see what there response is. Since this is a Most Bus module it may require a ICOM cable rather than the simple K/D can cable required for the rest of the car. google BMW coding in Boston A copy of your stock configuration is kept in the Cas and Frm modules they should be able to default code the Mulf from that to the original factory settings. I am not sure if that changes the VIN in the Mulf but you should do that to. Make sure you didn't blow the fuses for the USB Hub if you have one and you hot changed the Mulf.
