I might have fucked up some FDL coding.
So I got two symtoms which I noticed after changing the 6,5" screen to the 10,25" screen from X5.
1) I can't save radio stations to quick keys (1-9) anymore. It saves the "last menu" I used. This probably has something to do with the old 6,5" being "single screen" and the new 10,25" is "double screen" - as in you can see the previous / next screen on the side. Somehow the HU thinks I am still at the previous screen and saves "FM stations" or "Favourite stations" instead of the station I have selected. 2) My splash screen is not animated anymore. Just shows the last last frame for a fraction of the second and then jumps to radio / nav / whatever I had selected before shutting down the car. It showed the animation fully for the first time when I coded the STARTUP_EMBLEM. What I should have coded: HU_CIC 3000 SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX werte = FF Disable DVD/USB Video Speedlock - Part 1 (HU_CIC and HU_NBT) Couldn't code this. No FF in menu. HU_CIC 3000 SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN werte = FF Disable DVD/USB Video Speedlock - Part 2 (HU_CIC and HU_NBT) Couldn't code this either. Same issue as above. HU_NBT 3000 VIDEO_FRONT_LOCKED nicht_aktiv Removes Front Lock (Needed with VIDEO_HANDBRAKE) - Part 4 (HU_NBT only) HU_NBT 3000 VIDEO_HANDBRAKE nicht_aktiv Removes requirement for handbrake to watch videos - Part 5 (HU_NBT only) HU_NBT 3000 VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION none Removes speed requirement to watch videos - Part 6 (HU_NBT only) HU_NBT 3000 SERVICES_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION none Removes speed requirement to read service messages - Part 7 (HU_NBT only) HU_NBT 3000 OFFICE_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION none Removes speed requirement to read office messages - Part 8 (HU_NBT only) HU_NBT 3003 API_USB_VIDEO both Enable Video Playback via USB (.avi, .mp4, .mkv, .m4v, etc.) HU_NBT 3000 ENT_MC_VIDEO_SUPPORT aktiv Enable MC Video playback (Saving videos to internal HD does not work) HU_NBT 3000 ENT_CODEC_XVID aktiv Enable XVID codec for USB videos HU_NBT 3000 ENT_CODEC_XVCD aktiv Enable XVCD codec for USB videos HU_NBT 3000 ENT_CODEC_OGG aktiv Enable OGG codec during video playback HU_NBT 3000 ENT_VIDEO_HMI aktiv Enables the ‘DVD Menu’ button when watching a DVD HU_NBT 3000 DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION 8.8_1280x480 Change iDrive display to 1280x480 resolution HU_NBT 3000 DISPLAY_VARIANTE breites_display Change iDrive display to wide double display HU_NBT 3001 STARTUP_EMBLEM variant_01 Change iDrive Startup Animation. You probably have the HU_ENTRYNAV head unit (since you had the 6.5" screen), which can't play video files even if coded to do so. Splitscreen doesn't need to be coded - it works out-of-the-box if you code the larger screen.
Also, the startup animation doesn't always show itself - that does not have to do anything with the coding, it depends on how quicky you start the engine after unlocking the car, etc. |

Don't know how enabling those video codes would affect favourite saving though. |

For future reference. This issue got fixed when I switched RDS off and back on in the multimedia settings (iDrive). Don't know why, maybe it re-wrote some sort of settings file in the HU.
