Why do you need to update it? Playing with the CAS is not advised unless you have to.

You can do it at home like any other module. But I'd only do it with an ICOM, power supply, and a bench kit incase it gets bricked (already have a backup)

I need to update it because kl15 (a circuit in the module) is receiving 0 volts & from what I've read an update on the CAS module will take care of that

Read my recent post as well; I have done this and have bricked the CAS module. I did succesfully update the KOMBI,PDC and IKHA first. And I took all measures I think were necessary:

* 40A stabilized power supply
* remove key before programming CAS

Still it got bricked and my car was dead. I have ordered a new module at the dealer on my chassis (coded to the keys and so on) and now I am ok again. The only suggestion I did not take is that I used an OBD USB cable instead of a ICOM.

Also, it is not possible to use a second hand CAS when you brick it, unless you want to install a new DME and use new keys as well (they are all linked)..
