Riss Racing Catless Downpipes (10 needed)

Currently the only catless pipes that are available for us XI guys are the UR pipes. Anyone interested in getting RR catless pipes for their XI? We need a few guys that will be dedicated to start off to get these things produced.

According to the **********s site these fit xi? I have no idea...can someone comment on fitment? I might be interested if it helps get them produced if they don't already fit.

No,

The Riss Racing Downpipes are specific to the 135i/335i. The application is much more different on the XI version. If we can get a few, not many, just a few people interested, we can go into production for you guys. Humtek has been more than helpful and we want to get this taken care of. I just need a small head count and we'll take care of this for you guys!

this might be ethically wrong, but why don't you just buy a set URs?

I have no problem buying from UR, but I personally prefer the RR pipes.

I would join up on this list however I cant justify catless DPs given the strict emissions standards in my home state (Virginia).

I severely want catless DPs however... but I must be able to pass emissions inspections here.

Well luckily in my state we don't have emissions except for if you reside in Albuquerque city limits and even there they only do an OBDII check, not the sniff test. Even if you failed the OBDII test I've heard you could easily drop a $20 on the ground and they'll look the other way.

Our downpipes start at 3" for maximum flow from your turbos. Slowly tapers to 2.75" then to the 2.5" flange to fit any stock/aftermarket system. UR is straight 2.5" throughout.

Really glad I read your post, I was considering adding myself to the list. I am going to register my car in Michigan for the first year until I get out of the Army and then will have to register her in VA...

Thanks Adam. Also I might be wrong, but from the pictures I think the thermal coating that RR does looks a lot better then the job UR does. Even though you don't see the pipes, but if thermal coating isn't done right then what is the point of paying for it? BTW if these get made I would opt to get mine thermal coated. IMHO one company does quality while the other one does quantity, but thats business.

Well if we don't get our 10 and RR decides to not make them. I'll be probably picking up the UR pipes as well. I'm in no rush at this point, but would like to eventually put pipes on.
