2013 335I HARMON Amp Repair

Smoke billowed out of my HK amp in the trunk and now fuse 123 (40A) is constantly blowing. Has anyone successfully repaired this ? can someone point me in the right direction. BMW wants over $1000 for a new one.

An expert might be able to repair the amp, but it will cost you a fair chunk of change in a bench fee for him to even look at it, and the cost to repair could be in the hundreds. That puts you up in the range where you could use an aftermarket amp that's better than the HK while cheaper than what BMW wants for it.
