Inlet access

I’m going to replace my glow plugs and controller and would like easier and less stressful removal of the inlet manifold after doing the swirlflaps last year.

The only bit I really struggled with was taking the inlet off with the two cables/pipes in the long rectangular holder in photo below in the way - I almost dropped a small orange washer into the cylinder as I wiggled it off.

I've done a bit of searching and there are conflicting opinions on what the two cable/pipes are but seem to be one for the + battery terminal and the other is a vacuum pipe for the brakes.

Are both these easy enough to remove and put to the side so that I can lift the inlet straight off?

Cheers
