So I've been a long time lurker on the boards and I've recently been interested in investing in a solution to add Carplay to my 2013 328i Sport line.

The part that I'm confused on is determining which display I have currently in my car. It was my understanding that anything pre-2016 is a non-NBT display. But I also though that the non-NBT systems didn't have split screen nor do they have ConnectedDrive as an option. My system has both.

As a general rule, 2013 328i should have a CIC.

NBT for 2014-2015 with few exceptions

NBT EVO 2016+, though different versions of NBT EVO depending on year
