So I installed a pair of jl subs in the back which enables e to listen to louder music but this has made me realize how harsh the highs can be (hk system). Never fully understood the terms bright/harsh highs, but I think that’s what I’m hearing and I can’t seem to fix it with the equalizer. So now I’m thinking maybe I need different speakers.

I have zero desire to modify the vehicle or cut any panels so to speak but I’m interested in what I can fit? I’m assuming it’s either a set of 5.25” components or 6.5” to replace them.

Searching google to find this info is harder than it looks. It’s mostly reviews of the vehicle or hk system in general.

My issue with replacing stock speakers is not so much the size but that the speakers are molded into custom mounts. This usually leads to looking for the right vehicle mounts and that dictates the speaker size.
