Navi update

Hi,

I have a connected drive package which includes navi-updates. So I downloaded a new version and all was put automatically on my USB drive (29 GB). The BMW download manager reported that all was saved fine.

When putting the usb in my Car (in front besides wireless charging, or in the arm-rest), the usb flashes several seconds, as it is reading...., but then nothing happens.....

I use a 64GB (Lexar) USB 3.0, formatted FAT 32..... Any ideas?

Are you going to the map, selecting options and then update maps? You then would select usb.

I formatted the same USB with NTFS, put on the same files again.... car found and executed the update.... problem solved.

My X3 came with Connected drive services with Navi updates for 3 years, so to be downloaded via "my connected drive" in my case

No, I mean for people who are downloading the update on their computer, and copying it to a SD card, and then loading the SD card into their nav. Where are they downloading the update from? By "where" I mean, can you give me a link to the web site where I log in to download it?

The downloads appear to be only for European owners. There seems to be nothing for US owners, although someone does appear to have made a pirated version available for US folks. See the other 2018-1 Nav thread for details.

It is actually from a site: www.bmw-connecteddrive.nl (But as I understand from another reply, only for EU-users......?)
