Clock keeps resetting! Please help!

Before you say there are other threads about this, I have read everything I can find and have tried everything I found. I have changed the battery out and checked the fuses but my clock still randomly resets. Any ideas? It’s a 2008 328xi. Thanks!

We had the same problem with our 2008 328xiT. The battery was replaced and the clock still reset. The dealer eventually replaced the IBS, that that fixed it.

As mentioned the IBS is likely your culprit, but I'm curious whether there is a related code stored. Have you been able to scan for codes by chance?

You may know this, but the IBS is not sold separately; it must be purchased as part of the negative battery cable. As a result, the new ones are very expensive. I'm assuming a used one would work fine.

Thanks for the replies! I’ll look into that. I have checked the codes and I believe I have gotten a power management code before but it doesn’t always come back after resetting it. I can run another scan though. I was kinda suspecting it was something with the IBS. I was just hoping that wasn’t it.
