2006 325i disabled

so today i let my 2006 325i run in the garage for about 10-15 mins and i revved it a little to keep the rpms up but as i shut it off and went to get back in the car completely shut down no lights no nothing and the key fob was stuck in ignition i couldnt even put the car in neutral it was just shut down. anybody know what this is? security feature maybe?
i got it back running in like 5 minutes the lights turned back on and i was able to start it

I'd check the battery voltage first

check your batter terminals for corrosion. Check battery for defect. Unplug your BST plug to see if that helps.
