08 328xi E92 Water Pump and Thermostat replacement

Going to be replacing my e92 h2o pump and thermostat in a few days. I bought the replacement kit from ECS tuning (WP, thermostat, alum bolts, and coolant) Any feedback/tips/advice? Will I be able to do it using ramps and jack stands? It says its overheating (yellow then red) but the coolant temp stays the same, give or take 10 degrees. this is what will fix it right?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like it, what is the mileage on the car? any codes come up or the check engine light on? It's not the most fun job to do like that but it can be done, good luck!

Mileage is 124k. Just bought in December and was 150 miles over my warranty, which it would have been covered. No codes or anything. It doesn't do it everytime I drive it, but I stopped driving it so I dont possibly further break anything

It might be more the thermostat than the water pump but they are together under the car. If you do one you do the other. One bolt was a real pain in the butt... mine is rear wheel drive, hope yours isn't more difficult being an Xi.... Again good luck...!

Good luck son, I might be doing this as a preventative maintenance item next summer. I'm at 64.5k right now.
