H&R Wheel Spacer
Installed H&R Wheel Spacers several months ago, followed all instructions for installation, prepping of surfaces, torque wrench etc..
Removed them today for regular inspection noticed on the Rear Passenger Side that there is a visible line that goes AROUND the spacer (inner side) The line is not deep but can be felt with fingernails. I checked all wheels front wheels don't have this line on the Rear Driver Side, there is also a line but it does not go around the whole inner side of the spacer. When installed on the car, the Hubcentric ring of the car GOES OVER the visible line on the spacer. I'm concerned, is the line a crack or maybe a weak spot? Thanks |

Opposite opinion.
It's a scratch, nothing to worry about. When mounted, the spacer is under compression. Even if the spacer was cut into several pieces, once the wheel was mounted and bolts tightened, there could be no movement. Aluminum is a soft metal, and will bend rather than 'cracking' spontaneously in the middle of an unstressed area. My spacers are marked/scarred all over. Doesn't make them less safe. If you like them, use them. |

the line or scratch is perfectly straight and even, that goes around the whole inner circle. I'm thinking its probably caused by the hubcentric ring on the car itselft, but when installed on the car, the hubcentric ring goes "over" the line/scratch, thats why I'm unsure. |

It's possibly just a remnant of the machining process...which is now more noticable because some dirt/grime got in it. Hardly anything to be concerned about.
