A/C noise matching revs
Hi Guys
I'm sorry if this has been asked, my searches found similar problems but none that matched my problem perfectly. My 330i has a noise that is exactly like a dodgy stereo install from 2001. It kind of whines with a high frequency as if you had a crap ground or you ran power and RCA's next to each other to the boot. I immediately thought it was stereo but I can't make it go away with stereo off, turned down and muted (as well as unplugging aux in). I did make it go away by turning off the A/C. The thing is though, it doesn't sound like compressor and it *might* be fan belt but the sound appears to be electrical and from the footwell. I'm not sure if I can rev the car from the engine bay with the electronic throttle so I haven't tried that. Fingers crossed this is something easy to fix cause it's driving me nuts. Thanks, Christian |
