Aftermarket Front Belly Pan 51757129341 - Thoughts?
Wow, so it's been like forever since I was here last, couple of years maybe. Anyways, I'm in need of another front belly pan and I want to know if any of you have tried aftermarket ones before? I had to change it once before a few years back(funny, yet sad story) but used an OEM part, except it wasn't near as expensive as they are now, almost double at around $250! So I'm looking at one manufactured by "Magnifiek" but I'm a little weary as it's just under $43....what?! We all know the saying, "You get what you pay for", but still that's not always true. Let me know peeps. If you've had success with an aftermarket front belly pan, let me know how it worked out. Shit if I can get decent quality for a piece like this that saves me 200 bucks, I'm all in! Looking forward to the comments/opinions.

I found some questionable reviews but was going to try it, just couldn't get shipping ironed out so never ordered. I had some missing parts and some bad cracks, but just went ahead and repaired it with G/Flex epoxy and fiberglass. If you clean the hell out of the plastic and then flame threat it you can get a really good bond. Looks like new from the bottom. Time will tell but so far so good a few months later.

Funny timing. I’ll be posting soon about my experience repairing my OE belly pan.
Mine was cracked and damaged from age. $10 worth of fibreglass later and she’s good to go! Stay tuned for my post. Sometime within next week. But honestly, I didn’t do anything fancy and there isn’t much to it. Just scuff, tack the mat down, resin, and that’s it. If you still have your old one, it might be salvageable too! |

I got one of the $48 ones from ebay. It is not a rigid as the factory one but it is not that important. It does hang down a 1/4" in places where the original one would be perfectly flush against the bottom of the car. Overall it is fine for the 13 year old car it is on with a less than perfect bumper lip.

If not I'll absolutely explore this option when mine finally disintegrates completely... |

I don't hear any extra noises. There are enough bolts to keep it in the original shape. There just are few areas that hang a little lower than expected. Most people would not notice unless they had previously seen how perfect the original one fits.

I've tried the breakers around my habitat and it seems nobody's wrecking their E9X's lately. I may just go for this cheapo and report back on it. Thanks all and for anyone else, please, continue to chime in. If you've got something to say on the subject, spit it out! Inquiring minds wanna know!
