BMW X3 - 1of the 6 safest cars on the road
Did you know you bought one of the safest cars on the road? ...at least according to IIHS in the US.
"This compact SUV gets a superior rating -- the highest -- on its front crash-prevention system. It gets a second-level good rating on its headlights, but the combination still adds up to a top safety pick plus. Like most BMWs, the X3's strong performance and nimble handling drew praise from reviewers. They also liked the easy-to-use touch-screen infotainment system. List prices on the X3 range from $42,650 to $54,500." https://www.cbsnews.com/media/6-of-t...s-on-the-road/ https://www.cbsnews.com/media/6-of-t...on-the-road/2/ |

The European NCAP also gave the X3 high marks. They even have a cool video (while this was made in "2017", you can clearly see that 2018 X3's are being crashed):

What surprises me about this "Top 6" list is the domination of South Korean cars - two Hyundai's, two Kia's. One Lexus and one BMW make up the rest of the list. So no other Japanese or German makes? No Volvos?

No Volvos, no Honda, Acura, no Mercedes, no Audi, no VW, yet Hyundai Elantra makes to the list, yet 4 Hyundai/Kia (they are under the same company and share a lot of platform, architecture, powertrain, technology) out of 6 safest? |
