Help! Is Something Missing From My Car?
Hey All,
Was out poking around my engine bay a few minutes ago and noticed what look like empty threads near the oil filter housing and the engine. I've seen it before but didn't think much about it, now I realize they appear to be threads and I'm wondering if there is a bolt or something missing from there. I've attached pictures to hopefully illustrate the location of the threads. Thanks for any help you can provide! To the right of the picture is the oil filter cap, to the left is the actual engine. |

Lol funny question. That little thing is the hole is for screwing on your tow loop to hoist your engine while you drop the subframe to replace the oil pan gasket.
