I know this has been posted many times... But just got back from my PCD yesterday. As much as I expected it to be great, it blew me away. For anyone that can figure out the logistics, it is such an amazing experience, just DO IT. The track time wasn't just fun, I actually learned a lot just in the short amount of time. Those instructors know their stuff.

You get treated like royalty. An example of a nice touch, when the Marriott picks you up from the airport (and for those who don't know the room and even the dinner/breakfast is free) you get picked up in a new X5.

About the only thing I can imagine topping this is doing it out of the German factory and driving on the Autobahn for a week or two

Such a better experience than any dealership could provide. It is a fantastic time.

I didn't realize until I was there you can do PCD even if your car isn't built there. I just assumed you could only do it if it was an X. They even said you could do both the German delivery and Spartanburg for the same car. Always next time

Of course, you just don't get the detailed delivery experience from the Genius since you already had it at the Welt. Everything else is the same.

Plus you can buy from any dealer in the country and don't have to shop local. My PCD'd vehicles were ordered from dealers in Los Angeles and Portland.
