Oil Interval Reset Value
Hello,
I was just wondering what is the mileage for oil change interval if I reset my counter? It is currently showing 16,000km left, did it start at 24,300km, and therefore I have 8,300km on this oil? I am a newish owner so I've never reset the oil counter yet. Thanks |

10k km or 6-mos. whichever first. Change the differential fluid too (2 yrs, or annually if you like), among others. Mobil1 0W40 is no longer BMW LL-01, but my car likes it more than Castrol 0W40 Belgium. Light oil consumption with Castrol, none on M1. |

Lots of people on here use factory recommendations without issue.
I'm not one of them, but there's really only evidence for long life changes and none against it that I'm aware of... |

I was shocked to see my E90 had a TWO YEAR interval (24,000 km's I believe).
I LOL'd at the idea of BMW specifying oil change interval down to hundreds of kilometers, and then remembered it it's BMW, and that it really wouldn't surprise me. |
