Rear Seat Entertainment Options

We'll be taking an 1100 mile jaunt to our summer place next month. Was just wondering about keeping the family happy with some rear seat entertainment as we drone along the interstate.

Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a more integrated option then some tablet (iPad) holders like this?

The bmw iPad holders are good options. They attach to the headrest bars and have other attachments you can get for other uses. I think full size iPads would be too big but two iPad minis would look great plus they are portable and upgradable.

This, I have them in regular ipad sizes works great. download some Netflix movies or shows to watch offline and you're good for few hours.

This is what I had in mind however, the link shows not available for optional sport seats nor does it show any availability for 2018 X3. Odd.

Not trying to be a wiseguy, but I don't see why anyone would spend $188 on an iPad holder for their car. If your kids are like mine, they already have built-in iPad holders - they're called hands.

Well, for a couple of reasons, it provides storage for the device, it secured the device in the event of a crash and probably most importantly, your hands and forearm get fatigued from holding the device up right. Looking down at a device in your lap has been proven to cause stress on your neck as well.

My 6 year old gets car sick if she looks down at the ipad on her lap.
If i put it in the holder behind my headrest, she is looking forwards at it - no car sickness.
Admittedly my headrest ipad holder cost about £10 from Amazon...
