Just keep it running. Still only uses/leaks a liter of oil at 10,000 miles.

Need to replace both rear wheel bearings. I picked up two wheel carriers that I'm going to completely refurbish before tearing the car apart.

Just 50,000 miles until your CBS oil monitor arbitrarily stops working!

Are you the original owner? If not, what mileage did you purchase it at? How many waterpumps, VCG, and OPG have you been through? Thanks for answering.

That's awesome man. I love it when I see a high mileage Bimmer cause it really shuts the haters up real quick. I hope I could do the same in mine.

That stopped around 220k miles..... They recommend coding to prevent display but I use the thing as a count up to know how long it's been.

Bought the car with 33k back in 2010 down in Asheville, NC.

One waterpump... think it was around 190k (Think I hold the record on the board)
One VCG and OFHG... 195k / 185k
Haven't done the OPG yet.

I've used BMW oil for every change except one near the beginning.

Nice work, Greyfox!

You ever install the Bilsteins? Hope they worked well, if so.

Yep... put the B6's on all four corners and then put the 245/45R17 tires on the 8.5" rims. Excellent long distance/interstate ride with just the right stiffness.

Well, the driver's position is starting to show it's age. I've got a new seat bottom foam to put in it. I've looked about the driver's door panel but just haven't found a good one.

Steering wheel is pretty much polished smooth.

I think waterpump at 190k is more impressive, this guy must live in the Arctic so his WP doesn't get much use. Also his OPG isn't even leaking yet, wtf?

Nope... it gets on the intersate on Monday morning and runs for about 265 miles @ 75mph (except for traffic jams). Same on the return on Thursdays.

That's probably what has attributed to the longevity. The whole car gets to operating temperatures and then stays there for a good amount of time.

Short trips kills cars. Heat up, cool down, heat up, cool down......

Nope, Virginia....

Oh, it's seeping. Just not enough for me to spend 15 - 20 hours tearing the whole front out from under it while on blocks in my back yard.

you've just contradicted yourself. driving at 75MPH for extended periods of time in top-gear is not hard on the car at all.

congrats on the mileage!! very impressive. more proof that these older BMW's are very reliable, especially with the N52 motor.

I'm not really sure. I do know that BMW took my wife's passenger seat bottom apart (sport seat) to replace the sensor and it took them less than two hours.

Since Effthreeoh is now banned (340k miles), I assume you have the highest mileage N52 on here?
