Garage door opener reteofit?

So I've had my 2013 BMW F30 for a couple of months now and I'm moving into my new home soon. My new house has two garage doors, and I want to keep my car in one of them. The thing is, my car doesn't have the OEM garage door opener installed on the rear view mirror. Is it possible to retrofit a mirror into my car, or is there something else I might be able to do?

P.S.: My rear view mirror is equipped with auto-dimming. I heard it's necessary because of power/electronics or something.

The option is not available in Europe either. I did some research but I could not conclude how useful "HomeLink" would be in Europe, as it is not widely used.

But equally interested in a built-in solution... There isn't even a suitable place to store a separate remote control in the F36...

Since remote opening garage doors are radio controlled devices the trigger would have to be configured to work in the frequency bandwidth allocated to that in the country of use. That might explain why they're not offered in all countries.

They usually come with a clip to attach them to the visor.

Yes, exactly. The regulations in Europe are different and the frequency is also slightly different.

Regarding the clip - that's what I meant with "suitable" That's just ugly, wouldn't want anything there

For my Jeep that didn’t have OEM Homelink I gutted my remotes and hot glued the circuit boards behind some trim (battery facing up so I can change them) and then ran wires from the remotes to two momentary switches. I drilled into the trim to install the momentary switches.

I have the Jeep top off most of the time and the idea of having remotes hanging from my visor wasn’t appealing.

Google hard wiring of garage door openers.

Here is a video showing how to use Homelink with European garage door opener. Depending on what garage door opener you have, you might need a different receiver. Basically, the receiver, receives the homelink signals, and sends signals to the opener the same as the wall button - so you may need to consider where you locate the receiver to insure it is able to get a good signal.

Here is video describing a product that will work with LiftMaster/Chamberlain garage door openers.
