Retrofitted HU_ENTRYNAV with BMW Connected App

Does anyone has problem sending a destination addresses with the BMW Connected Drive app on a iPhone to a retrofitted HU_ENTRYNAV? Apparently only version 7.0.1.967 can works. The HU is not accepting destination address if your app is of higher version.

The app is now forcing me to update to the latest version 8.2.

Maybe u have to flash the head unit and tcb to higher istep to work with new version

I manage to download the software up file from BMW site using the my original VIN and also the donor VIN. Both downloaded the same version UPD07032.bin.

Question is that my is a retrofitted HU_ENTRYNAV, will updating the software brick my HU?

That’s not what I mean by flashing. I’m talking about flashing the hu ecu and tcb ecu with esys n psdzdata full

As long as u do it rite it shouldn’t brick ur hu. I flashed my retrofitted nbt n it works jus fine. If ur not sure how there’s plenty of info on this board. Jus make sure to use modified FA with the correct vin u wanna use.
