Question for the European new X3 owners:

Do the exterior mirrors that come with the curved wide-angle glass and etched dashed line have also the yellow triangle warning backlight as part of the blind spot detection warning system?

Yes, if you have the Driving Assistance or Driving Assistance Plus package.

I'm looking on eBay and all the ones on sale from EU (all from the Baltics, I wonder why?) don't have the triangle etched on the glass... I'll guess I'll have to keep looking.

Careful ordering from a third party as there are many different versions of mirrors available depending on spec.

Variations include:

- heated
- electric
- driving assistance/driving assistance plus
- parking assistance plus (cameras in mirrors)

If you are retrofitting then you would need to code them as well.

I think OP just wants to switch the mirror to European Aspherical mirror, not the entire mirror housing. So surround cameras won't be affected.
