X3 Moose Test

It looks like X3 under steering a lot in comparison to Audi Q5

That's strange considering I've broken loose the rear end several times. I would think it's capable of some decent oversteer, but I guess it depends on speed, transmission settings, etc.

Take a look at the Q5 moose test video. it looks like Q5 performed better

Do they happen to mention what tires are being used? I haven't had the chance to watch this yet.

Oh, I see from the video this is Q5 vs X3. Not SQ5 vs M40i. I wouldn't have any experience with the base model. I guess I just assumed they'd be testing the performance models here.

Interesting moose test, but they should indicate completion time or average speeds. If you decelerate faster at the first turn, you may get better results because you will be going slower into the second turn.

And of course tires, temperatures all make a lot of difference.

In fact, given the safety systems in Driving Assistant Plus, I would like to see the test with a "moose" in the lane.

These tests take place in Spain, and while Audi test was made in April, BMW test was made in January, so there must be a temperature difference of around 15-20º at least (maybe more in tarmac).

Considering that body movement is less in BMW, I think that in equal conditions the X3 should perfom much better than it did. Appart from that, what they measure is the speed at the entrance, but you can see that the Audi deccelerates a lot after the first turn, which also may help...

That's not an M40i, so the xDrive tuning isn't the same.
