Radar Hardwire problems

Hi, i've gone through several threads and looked at youtube videos on how to hardwire a radar detector using power from the rear view mirror and dome lights. All threads state the tap into the green/brown wire for power. However, in my 2018 430 gran coupe, there is no green/brown wire! Anyone have experience installing in a a 2018 model year? not sure if the wires changed. Any help greatly appreciated. I tried the green/white but did not work.

Looked again and still don’t see a green/brown wire. These wires are under ge dome light assembly and not the plastic clamshell behind the mirror correct? Anyone have a picture of where the wire attaches to?

Thanks

That's why they call them "Mirror Taps" and not "Dome Taps" .... the needed wires are in the mirror harness. Pop the clamshell off and unplug the mirror harness and you'll find the green wire (hot w/key ON) and the brown wire (ground). Slide the mirror tap ends into the back side of the socket and zip tie them secure. Replace the clamshell and your done. 5 minutes max.
