anyway to get google maps?

I don't have my car yet, but I have been trying to figure out a way to sync google maps without android auto. Any ideas?

I think it's crazy that BMW won't offer android auto when their major competitors do.

Maybe a mod can move it to the iDrive, Nav, Stereo, Bluetooth, Electronics section.

I agree with you regarding Android Auto. iDrive allows you to use Screen Mirroring, but it only works with Miracast. My phone doesn't support Miracast (Google Pixel 2 XL) so I couldn't test it and don't know if/how well it works while driving. That may be an option. There is after market screen mirroring hardware, but it also uses Miracast and may be no different than what is built in.

Had it on my 2 Audi's and tried it then turned it off. I personally prefer regular maps

Apple car play now does Google Maps.

Miracast and Carplay works if you do not want to use Inrix. VIM also allows Miracast in motion.
