Code out iDrive message notification icon, possible?

So I bought my car a few weeks ago, 2013 F30 335i, and it had a message icon in the notification bar on my iDrive that I couldn't figure out how to check or remove. So I removed the previous owners iPhone from the list of connected devices, and I added my Galaxy Note 8 phone, and that message was still there. I went to BMW and one of the Genius fellas got in my car and he couldn't figure it out either. The culmination of the scenario was that since the 2G service was disconnected on 2013 models, this may be a message notification that I'm unable to receive.

Soooo, basically BMW told me there's no way to get rid of it, and idk if I'm buying that... Coming from the E9X platform, I was able to code just about everything to my car, so I'm wondering if there's a way to code this notification out..?

Thank you!

Have you checked for any BMW messages in connected drive?

Yes, the Genius who got in my car @ BMW went through all the lists on my iDrive and he couldn't figure it out either.. Apparently there used to be a "Messages" tab in there somewhere but he said it's missing from mine, and he checked the version of iDrive and he said I have the most updated version..

Do you have 6NS coded to vehicle?

If you do, then you can configure IDrive to display messages or not. And, you will find "messages" section.

Whether I have a new message or not, each time I start car, there is bug that I have to open any message and icon will disappear.
