WTT: e90/e92 M3 all-leather front seats for your Speed Cloth front seats + $$$

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Just as the title states...my (black) all-leather front seats for your (e90/e92 M3) Speed cloth front seats + cash. PM your $$$ offer & also state how long u had them as well as condition (mine should be here within the next 2-weeks). You must have heated seats & enhanced premium sound (subwoofers under the seats I think). I prefer local but willing to meet halfway as long as it's not too far from Dallas (200-250 miles'ish). Thx for looking.

LOL, I originally placed an order w/the premium package (includes all-leather non-extended) since I couldn't verify if Speed cloth had the same crap nylon material look & feel as the e46 M3 (non-Comp. package). Then I found out Speed cloth doesn't have nylon & actually looks good. By the time I wanted to change my order, it was too late hence this WTT thread. I really don't like leather seats since they make you slide around too much (especially on the track) & more cleaning but at the same time I knew if I get aftermarket seats w/cloth then more than likely it'll cheapen the car (the cloth part). I figured this was a good middle ground. The only thing I don't like about Speed cloth is the door panels look cheap. I do like bluetooth (in the premium package) though.

That'll depend on the potential swapper I guess. The main thing for me are the front seats.

i will have no need for the leather interior though. I'll want to sell the speed cloth interior.

Where are you located? Do you have heated & enhanced premium sound options? Trying to avoid shipping unless the price is right. PM me your price, thx!

I am in Chicago. no options on this car!! I didnt want to pay for options that would be ripped out of the car in 1500 miles when it get gutted caged and raced!

We can talk price when the stripping begins. I will say that Id think it'll be hard to find someone to swap with when a car is this much $ and this new still. Let alon a local person!

True about going to be hard to find someone to swap since it's such a new car. However, for those that don't mind the cloth door panels but still want all-leather seats, this swap will be less expensive compared to buying the all-leather option ($950). I was really hoping you had heated & enchanced premium sound. Just PM me your asking price whenever it's time.

Not to be an a$$ but you really need to read the whole thread before you post especially if it's just a couple posts in this thread...

B/c I can't justify $1800+ (Milano 2) & $3000+ (Prestige leather) for a pair of seats + cost of brackets, mounts & SRS bypass modules. Besides, I'm trying to get away from an all-leather setup like I said in my 3rd post. I prefer to do the swap but will buy oem Speed Cloth (front) seats outright as long as they're nowhere near prices above.

Why don't you just recover the lower back and seat cushion with fabric at an auto upholstery shop? Use Alcantera or Recaro's equivalent fabric. Or source extra stock fabric from BMWAG. Seat covers should come off like other models. You could even do the back seats to match.

Good idea. Thought about that but haven't gotten around to checking out local auto upholstery shops yet.
