lol, I tried registrating before, only to discover that you had to be 21. Also, all of the cars are autotragic, if I recall correctly.

Yes, all the cars are auto now. The used to have some manuals but they went through too many clutches/transmissions.

They have z4's,3er's, 5er's, and 6er's maybe even a 7. Last year they had the new 6 convertible which was a blast! The event lasts all day long, and how many / often you get to drive the cars depends on how many peeps show up. There *is* a prescribed route, but there's no one driving with you, so you could easily drive it wherever you want. However, they check your millage before and after each run, but they don't ever say anything.

The cars are a set of fleet cars with the pink ribbon painted on the front, and they're toted all over the country. BMW hires a big marketing company to go around with the vehicles and host the events, so it really has very little to do with the actual dealerships. They usually have a contest to win a new car, everyone signs a signature car, and there's a lot of door prizes / drinks / food. If you're actually interested in any of the cars that you drive they'll take down your contact information so that they can send you a brochure and a have a CA contact you.

This is a fun thing to do for and for a good cause. Was much more fun a few years ago when they had manuals and you could also drive the ///M cars. I drove a E36 M3 and an M Coupe both with in a manual. At the time I had a E36 328IS so the ///M cars were quite a step up in power

This will be my first stand-alone Susan G Komen Drive. Usually, this event is packaged with the BMW Ultimate Drive event (ride and drive) --> last held in Fed-ex field in 2004. Attended the e46, X5 and X3 editions and I must say that helped in my decision on the e90 ... Actually (ironically) what really sold me on the e90 was the Taste of Lexus event (last year, also in fed-ex field) where I had a chance to briefly pit an e90 330 (ZSP) against the IS350... it was a great event though (they fed me well) Sorry Lexus

To those in the area, there are always a number of awesome ride and drive events at Fed-Ex field. Last year alone there was an MB, Mazda (awesome), Lexus, Mitsubishi and GM. Loads of fun with SECs (someone else's car).
