Hi I have F36. My idrive version is mb-001.050.002
I downloaded the new one and tried with two different usb drive and no matter what I did it gives this error "Update on USB device not suitable for this vehicle...."

I have an Enet cable is it possible to update this software with one of programming tools?

Did you download the update from the official site by inputting your VIN?

This isn't your idrive firmware level. However, yes it looks old. To check your idrive firmware, go to Map then select Options button on I'd drive controller. Scroll to bottom and select Navigation version. Near the bottom you'll see NBT_X. With X being the letter identifying your firmware version.

To upgrade your idrive firmware either ask dealer who can upgrade your cars istep level.... or you can do it yourself using esys, full data file and a battery charger.

Beware, firmware upgrading is a bit risky. First ask around, make sure E is old.

Okay I think I found what I need. But not sure which one PSdZData Full v.63.3 or v.4.10.30_PSdZData_Full
Both says PSdZData. Are they same thing? if yes why different version numbers? Which one suits for F series?

Sorry for my English.
I have the same problem "Update on USB device not suitable for this vehicle....".

But, at first I had a hu_entry (my car f30 2014 ) and after I changed to hu_entrynav (from donor's car f32 2016). I see my original VIN in "Settings - Update Software", I thought that was the problem.

I have VIN from donor's car and I tried via E-Sys wrote VIN in block entrynav (Expert mode- FSC-Extended - Diag addr - 0x63 - Identify - ENTRYNAV - WriteDataByIdentifierVIN - Start), but it didn't help.

Could someone help me, please?
