All windows rolled down and sunroof open?
Came out in the rain to find all my windows rolled down and my sunroof wide open. In the rain. What the hell could cause this?
I went into a restaurant with my wife, we both looked at the car as we were walking away from it as we were debating the parking job. Windows were definitely up. Came back and all windows were down and sunroof was wide open, in the rain. This is the 2nd time this has happened, do I have an electronic issue? How do I fix or prevent this? This is a huge problem as I park on the street in an area where it rains very very often. |

I'm pretty sure you can code that feature off but not sure what you need to do so. I coded my car when I did the Alpina TCU flash, but was a dude from the forums and he did remotely.....so, can't help much on that end.

Well dang, sure enough I hold down the button and the window went down. Now I'm going to be all paranoid about it until I can find a way to eliminate it. What a terrible feature. Time to go buy some leather conditioner.

What kills me on this feature is how awfully unpredictable the range is to enable it. I can be working in the yard and come out and see all windows down and sunroof open, even though I'm not going anywhere. Counter that to walking up to the car to leave, and I've got to be within 4 ft of the car to get this to work.
One solution may be a key cover for the OP., to physically cover the unlock button. |

Some people put their key in a case. I used to accidentally press the trunk button on my old car which was a problem because the springs were strong enough to open it all the way.
You could disable it with feature coding if you don't use it/want it.

But sucks if you sit on the key and open the windows - yeah, I've done it once or twice, the range is longer than you might think, especially when the battery is fresh. You can also code it to close the windows by holding down the lock button.
