Yep..
Car is now complete. called Genius line today and said car is waiting to get assigned a Vessel... He recommended I call back tomorrow and if no update call back Monday. He said once a ship is assigned he can provide a little more timing detail though things can still change. Starting to feel a bit more real now

Update as of today
Car was completed on 3/28 Has Been at Port since 4/3 Still does not have a Vessel Assigned. Trying to remain Patient.. this part definitely not fun. I understand how it works... no need to get upset over it as there is nothing I can do , however it would be nice if I could get assigned one and on board this week. Per todays Genius status update after my Car boards and takes about a 15- 25 day Journey it will arrive in GA do its little dance there and then ship to FL ... hopefully this part only takes a couple of days. So instead of last couple days of April I am realistically looking more like First 7-10 days of May ... that is if it ships soon

Horizon Highway delivered my car to Brunswick, GA yesterday.
Not sure of exact time frame to delivery to my FL dealer now but what I was told last Friday is I should receive my car either this Friday or Saturday Hoping this week flies by.. but whats a few more days.. as much as I want it.. part of the excitement is always the wait and then Delivery day !! Looking forward to my new 540I and hoping I like the sound of the MPE as all I have heard is youtube videos so far. C'mon weekend

at least you guys even have an idea.. i'm in the dark as im using a broker and they wont even tell me a range. All i know is it got ordered last week of March, no idea when production starts after order submission... no "individual" options. so I am just going by what some of you post to gauge. As far as i know it could be end of this month or June. How many weeks would you estimate it took from your order submission to when its ready for pickup?

Well as of today
I ordered March 12th.. everything went by pretty quick ( well fairly quick ) here I sit typing this on May 10th and my car is just sitting in Brunswick , Ga as it has been since 4/30 Called my SA on Weds.. he said still there.. told him to keep me posted Today Thurs the 10th and still no call.. which means it didn't arrive today and makes me wonder if it will make it tomorrow or at best Saturday, Looks like it could be Monday or Tuesday before my car arrives (and that's just me guessing) wish they would get it on a truck carrier and get it moving. Is it just wishful thinking to call my dealer tomorrow and say why don't you guys just pay and have I shipped to you now rather than waiting on a full load truck carrier.. I have been patiently waiting and the freaking car is only 6 hours away.. a bit stressful at this point.. but I know it will be all smiles once it arrives so looks like a 2 month turnover from build to delivery .. suppose 8 weeks isn't great , but isn't bad

Update..
Called Brunswick , GA BMW dealer/port Refused to give me any info when my car would be shipped. Pretty rude about it to. I remained calm during the call and told the lady at the end of the call Thanks for no help (condescending somewhat, but she truly was no help) Then called BMW Genius. Says my car shows complete and has been sitting on carrier since May 2nd and agreed this is excessive and doesn't understand the hold up that my dealership could call for a better idea of ways going on. Just text my regular Sales rep. He said he would reach out for an update, however they always have a good reason for the hold up. I told him I highly doubt that but thanks for reaching out for an update.. afterall that's his commission sitting on a carrier as well. So once again I'm on hold and play the waiting game.. starting to get long in tooth knowing my car has just been sitting.. Anyone experienced something similar ? I was expecting to do an introducing thread with pics very soon.. will have to place that on hold again. |

2 things come across my mind this morning.
Would love some input: 1. Did my car get damaged or wrecked and they are repairing... if so wouldn't They have to disclose ? Trust me I'll be asking if anything happens to the car in transit at anytime. 2. Not enough cars on the carrier therefore they aren't driving 6 hours to deliver without a full load of vehicles on the truck. These are the only 2 scenarios I can think of as to why my car just remains sitting in GA in a carrier truck. Can my dealer pony up and pay to have my car delivered on a smaller delivery vehicle or must it come from main transport due to the whole import/export thing. Thanks for any thoughts or experience with this. |

One thing I definitely miss on the F80/82/83 forums was the communication.
I get the M forums are more enthusiast driven and the G30 is Still relatively new but after looking at the f10 forum.. plenty of interaction.. guess the G needs another year before alot more forum member owners.. More aftermarket etc.. Hell at this point I just want my car Kinda makes me want to just go pick up the M3 comp pack they have on the lot.. But patience.. lol.. I already waited this long and after my M4 of 3 years it's time for a change |

I had an 11 week wait or so on my 540i....got the MPPSK installed before delivery. My car was held up in Baltimore for 6 or 7 days and then an extra day at dealer for installation. Waiting was painful! Now with 350 miles on it...i cant wait until the 1200 mile break in is over with. The exhaust is awesome (not as loud inside as my dad's new x3 m40i...but thats what you get in a well sound-deadened luxury sport sedan).
