Water Pump status from Inpa

How do I interpret these results? Specifically, the temps look okay, what does the % 'status water pump' mean?
I did not see the rpm

Also what do the other buttons do. The 5, 50, 95 gave me a Actung.. blah blah blah error.

The DME button said activating or something like that. The F5 button looked like a calibration or priming operation so I didn't progress further.

Thanks

That the percentage at which the pump is running at that moment. The low temp,is keeping the pump from working higher than needed, it goes up then temp rises

You can't. At least not that I've ever seen...

I'm not sure what data would be able to quantify pump health anyway.

In my experience, until there is an issue with the pump, you won't get any codes or indications of a fault. For that reason, it's essentially a binary thing: it's either working correctly, or it's not.

I remember reading there are some hidden codes (not throwing light on) related to water pump that usually come on before it completely fails. They were something like "water pump speed is not what computer told it to be". Search for "water pump code" posted by Eftreeoh.

FC 2E82 Electric coolant pump cutoff, over-current

FC 2E83 Electric coolant pump, power-reduced operation, dry run

FC 2E84 Electric coolant pump, communication

FC 2E85 Electric coolant pump, communication, no voltage at emergency operation input of pump

Mine failed completely without throwing codes.

I noticed the jet engine roar once two weeks before the pump failed, and scanned for codes including hidden codes... nothing.

Only after the pump failed were codes thrown.

If you are lucky a code may be thrown, but that was not my experience.

Maybe a bad thermostat caused the water pump to overwork? Here is another article:
http://www.import-car.com/bmw-2e81-2...at-water-pump/

"Removed the engine coolant thermostat for inspection and found the engine coolant *thermostat was damaged."

I wonder if you can interpret % running as a sign of failure. For example, if it shows a high % then it may be spinning slowly which doesn't provide enough flow and it therefore has to run a higher percentage?

You will get this when it is not speed outside:
FC 2E81 Electric coolant pump, speed deviation, speed outside the tolerance

On MSV80/MSD80, it works the same way.

there is also a c_abc_inc and c_abc_max factor for each error code that can be adjusted to trigger the error sooner/more often.

Without a flow gauge I think it would be impossible to determine pump health.

I just posted it. The DME *already* monitors pump health.

As I understand it will not set a control message right? So INPA or similar is needed to pull the deviation codes.
