Sim card removal
Hi.
Somebody know what is the effect of removing sim card in the car? Can i install our own sim card? For the wifi hotspot .... we need to take a plan with bmw or it's included? Do you have some details how it works?

The SIM card is integrated so you can't remove it. Any services that may require the SIM is done through BMW and whichever network they partnered with in you region. SIM cards used to be removed way back when but don't know the affect of it and if you were able to use your own.

I work with headunits of another manufacturer and they are easy to remove (with a few tools) like cell phone. I was told BMW was more difficult. I would like to know answer for sure.
