I did exactly the same the other day to my 19" 230's

I think im going to get Lepsons to refurb all four and bring them back to perfect condition.

You will presumably only need one wheel doing. Lepsons are not the cheapest but they have a very very good reputation for perfection.

I've just had a spare front 193 style alloy refurbished by Spit and Polish. Just got to get the tyre mounted now and we'll have a good spare in case of another puncture.

Regards

Kerbed wheels are easily refurbished but check carefully that they can match the colour correctly.

I took mine to be done, but the workshop said BMW could not give them the exact colour code, so we decided not to proceed (the damage is very minor and not worth worrying too much about anyway).

Agreed colour match can be a problem, but unless it's dramatically different it's not noticeable when the wheels are on the car. In any case ours is just an emergency spare and not a wheel we intend to use full time.

I had a section repainted on two of my alloys, after a brush with some granite kerbs. Absolutely flawless colour matching. So good, I have forgotten that they were ever there.

A little too far North for you ... but sure you have the same down your area.

Hi All,

Fixing kerb damage is an easy DIY job, do a search on the US DIY section for several how to articles with step-by-step pictures, or use this....
http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/w...uff-repair.htm

Quick sand down, fill, prime and spray with the correct aerosol.

All BMW (and most other German cars) use Wurth wheel silver and clear coat in the factory.

You can get both in aerosols and it gives a perfect match.

Wurth German Alloy Silver Wheel Lacquer - 400ml
Wurth High Gloss Clear Alloy Wheel Lacquer - 400ml
from, for example…

Have fun

I know someone who used chipsaway and the colour match was spot on and cost £40.

Just waiting for the Wurth paint and laquer to arrive and will have a go at a little home-repair.

Will post up some pics when done!

I asked about wheel paint a few years back and BMW did not sell any. I ended up getting some silver paint from Halfords which was a good colour match.

I use the BMW touch-up paint from my old Titan-Silver E46. It is a close match.

It is an easy enough job!

Sand it down, fill it, prime and paint should do the trick, make sure you get the right colour (maybe BMW sells them?)

Having said that I know somewhere that will refurb them - £20 each, decent job too
