Quick Q regarding lateral acceleration and figure eight Gs difference
Hey guys, I'm trying to understand the difference between lateral acceleration and figure eight Gs? It’s something that has always confused me about car review tests. Lateral acceleration is max Gs a car can pull in a sweeping corner without losing grip, right? But what is the Figure Eight G number that Motor Trend always tests? The AMG GT R bests the 675LT in lateral acceleration, but can’t pull as many Gs than the 675LT in the figure eight. What does that even mean?
