Vivid Racing .... customer service??

I was wondering what your experiences were with Vivid Racing? I was interested in a part and messaged them last week but have heard nothing. Messaged on a thread this morning but still nothing. I’ve looked up a few reviews and I’ve never seen so many bad comments about customer service. I’m wondering if I should just move on as it’s probably a red flag. What are some of your experiences if any??

I ordered some Volk wheels from them over the holiday season- gave me the best price across all the vendors and got delivered within a week. Had nothing but a great experience.

If the reviews are so bad what more is there to know? Surely you can find another vendor selling the same part.

Unfortunately the agency power diffuser they sell is the only one of its kind. I can try to find another vendor for sure but I was sure a forum sponsor would be the best bet. I’ve had positive experiences with a ton of forum vendors so far.

Never dealt with this vendor, but sharing my experience with vendors in general. If the front end (customer facing) experience is lacking, rarely are the back end (fulfillment and invoicing) processes better.

I bought a new set of Vorsteiner wheels from Austin and had a great experience. He gave me a great price and had them custom painted as well. Shipped relatively fast consider having to get them refinished. I'd buy from them again

I would stay away if I were you. ordered a set of kw clubsports that showed "instock" but once I ordered they said it would be shipping from kw directly. I should have tried to cancel my order right then and there but went on with it for a couple days and emailed them asking for tracking Info and said they would have it to me soon. another week goes by still no tracking, I email then saying I'd like to cancel, and they say it would cost me $795 to cancel (25 percent restock fee) and I still don't have any tracking Info!! all in all it took over a month to get a set of coilovers from them.

This is 100% true - I thought it could be a risk after reading all the reviews but honestly there are some pretty viscous people out there that try to smear companies reps if they don't get their way. I feel that forum members are pretty honest and respectful for the most part so its a better place to get some answers.

I appreciate your feedback and sharing your experience... I'm sure I can find another vendor on the site that will be willing to work this me.

I'm a long time customer with these guys and they are as legit as it gets. Very good deals. Your best bet is calling and asking for Austin. PM me if you have any questions.

Apologies for the lack of reply. The representative we had taking care of Bimmerpost is no longer with the company as of a week or so ago, and we've yet to hire a replacement. I'll make our Operations Director aware that the forum needs some attention and is being neglected.

In the meantime, if you'd like to email me at james@vividracing.com, I'd be happy to assist with your Agency Power diffuser order. I'll be back in the office Monday morning and can provide you a quote then. Please include your shipping information in your email.

-James

My rep is Greg Schultz. greg@vividracing.com

He responds quickly and can get me items that aren't listed on their site.

Bought some parts from them a while ago for another car. Hit or miss. They processed my order and shipped it out correctly but nothing extraordinary. I'd only use them if you live close to their warehouse and could receive/return items quickly.

Absolute joke. Do not use them. There are so many other vendors for parts. Pay a little extra to avoid headaches and for a company that stands by their customer. Austin is especially unprofessional. Avoided my emails for a month when Swift Springs I bought from Vivid were damaging my struts. He said he was going to reach out to them and haven't heard from him or Vivid Racing since. I highly doubt he even picked up the phone to call Swift about their defective springs.

I emailed Ahmed as advised by another member and he responded within 10 minutes and had a reply from Swift within 15 minutes. Ahmed proved the other member right about his attention and care about customers. All sorted out now, but I’m still disappointed I had to search for reviews and other people from vivid to reach out to after a month of waiting.

I've had good experiences. Only once I had a problem purchasing something that read as In-Stock and it wasn't. A little annoyed by that but in general all good experiences.
