BMW Wiring /AWG and Color Coding
Examining BMW wiring schematics.
Typical wiring is shown as 2.50, 0.75 0.5 and 0.35 For example, 2.50 falls somewhere between 13 and 14 if I am reading conversion charts correctly and 0.35 is somewhere between 21 and 22. So how would these convert to North American AWG standard gauge? What is typical composite of the wiring? Shielding? Also, is there a place to purchase assortments of wiring colors with specific stripes (if less than roll, even better) if one wanted to keep OEM wiring colors? eBay and Amazon are surprisingly limited in this area. Even RealOEM lists a very limited selection. Or is there a place to get correct mm2 sizes in USA with good assortment of color and stripe varieties?
