New England Fall/Winter Stay. Where to go? What to do?
I found this: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/new-h...all-drives-nh/
Any other scenic routes? We're staying at The Maple Leaf Inn (Vermont) - December 2018. We'll go exploring from there to Woodstock and other places. We're also making a trip to Rhode Island and then New Hampshire in the fall. Still need to sort out a place to stay for the fall so recommendations welcome. Things to try? Places to eat? At either location. Thank you |

In December the attractions are skiing/snowboarding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Do you detect a common thread?
Rhode Island is pretty mundane overall, but it's worth the trip to Federal Hill in Providence for the best Italian food outside of Naples. New Hampshire in the fall is for leaf peeping. It's too late for water sports, too early for winter sports. |

I hike in the White Mountains every Fall if that is of interest let me know.
Mount Washington Hotel is a must on 302. If you don't want to spend the $$$ to stay there, still go and check it out. No better place to have a drink in the Whites. The golf there is spectacular, too. |
