Hi everyone,

Just wanted opinions on what the loud ticking sound on my 2013 328 might be? I think I’ve read somewhere that it could be the injectors....just sounds terrible on start up and nothing like a bmw should.

Should I get this looked at as a warranty item? Or would I have to go out of pocket to replace them?

Is it cold out? Could possibly be valve lifter on very cold start.

Most likey the injectors very common.
Thats why they add that huge foam on top of it

My fiancé's f30 328 starts up like a diesel as well. I read it's common but I wonder does it pose a threat?? Heard it was normal. Not sure how low your car is though. Just glad my F30 335 doesn't sound like that.

Nah it’s not cold outside so I’m guessing it’s the injectors.

I’m going to take it to my local BM Indy for a look too.
