Defrost and foot vent on simultaneously
Is there any way to have the front/side defrost and foot vents on at the same time? Whenever I push the defrost button all the other vents seem to turn off.

Keep pressing the driver's side manual air distribution button until the picture of where you want your air coming from appears. There's one for windows and footwell.
And seriously, do yourself a favor and read your owners manual so you know how to use the basic and more advanced features of your car.

Manual air distribution can give you the option you want. Auto does it pretty well in most situations. Defrost button is what it says, dedicated to defrost the screens. |

I thought the exact same thing, but figured it is Christmas so I’d answer as nicely as possible

Spare the obnoxious posts. I've read the manual and it doesn't say anything about this. Pressing the manual climate control button doesn't allow both front defrost and foot vents to operate at the same time. All my other cars I was able to do this - defrost/defog front windshield while keeping feet warm with the foot vent on.

I don't always want all air diverted to the front windshield. Sometimes it's better to have a little diverted to keep the window defogged and defrosted while having other vents deliver heat.

You have that option with manual distribution. Why not use full Auto? It does what you want "automatically", if you don't want manual adjustments, or dedicated screen defrosting.

Isn't that what happens when you select the mode with the arrows pointing up and down? There's no other vents on top of your dash--right?

Button 10 won't do it. Only the driver's side has defroster/feet *control. Yeah, I thought the manual was making crap up, so I had to check for myself, sure enough passenger side does not have *control for that split.

If the driver's side of the windshield and driver's side window needs defrosting chances are better than even that the passenger side will too, so those vents are all tied together, controlled by the driver's side switch.

Of course. I meant CONTROLS it. You can't control it with the passenger side in US cars (I figured I'd be specific and I have no idea for UK cars).

There's no need for the passenger to control the defrost separately from the driver, so they don't give them the option. UK would be the same in mirror image.
