Mercedes Steering vs. BMW Steering
My dad bought a 2017 C300. Base model, RWD. Took it for a really quick spin, and I'm surprised to say that the steering felt really good and little bit more playful. Have driven a lot of older Benzes and just remember the slow, numb, heavy steering (which suits the character of those cars). Have Mercedes really stepped up their steering game that much? Can anyone compare Mercedes to BMW steering who's spent more time in both cars?

My wife has a GLC and the steering is pretty good... it actually has better on center feel than my 340i. However it is light and the feel doesn't really change much between driving modes.

This. There's less of a dead spot but overall feel of it pales in comparison to BMW. Even in the C43 in sport mode, it gives a hint of sportiness but overall it's still on the side of comfort.

Interesting. Also, is it just my imagination or does it weight up really noticeably as speeds increase? BMW has much more linear weighting it seems.

The 435's steering definitely feels more connected to the car than the equivalent C43. On the plus side, it feels great if you're driving through a winding road. On the minus side, it feels heavy and clunky in just about every other situation. Once you get used to the C-class steering, the BMW 3/4 steering feels a little archaic albeit more connected. That being said, you'll find a hundred people on here that want to feel constantly connected to their car, even if it's running to the local Wal-Mart to get milk.
